Worksite Assessments
Conducted by a P2 Group Occupational Therapist / Ergonomist, a Worksite Assessment is a specialised on-site assessment of the worker’s pre-injury and/or potential suitable duties to:
- Identify the critical demands of all work tasks including the physical, psychological, cognitive and communication demands of the job
- Establish the work related performance criteria against which the worker’s functional capacity is to be evaluated
- Identify methods of temporarily or permanently modifying the work demands to facilitate a safe and sustainable return to work
- Ensure that a worker’s functional capacity coincides with the Inherent Requirements of their pre injury / suitable duties
It is of paramount importance to incorporate the results of the Worksite Assessment into the worker’s Return to Work / Care Plan to strengthen the documentation trail.
