Activities of Daily Living Assessments
An Activities of Daily Living assessment analyses an employees’ functional performance in the areas of personal self care (feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming*) domestic (homemaking and leisure*) and community (banking, supermarket shopping*). An ADL assessment provides information which can assist in overcoming injury/disability barriers. The results of this assessment can be incorporated into developing unique Return to Work and Rehabilitation Plans.
P2 Group Occupational Therapists assess the functional performance, disability limitation and home environment to determine the level and type of assistance the employee requires in order to live as independently as possible. The assessment also provides recommendations relating to equipment prescription and home modifications
Engaging in an ADL assessment can assist in empowering employees to take control of managing their own condition, reducing their reliance upon on-going treatment.
